1 Introduction
Welcome to Pocket Estimate ("we," "our," or "us"), developed by FINNSMedia. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.
Pocket Estimate is an AI-powered property damage assessment tool designed for insurance adjusters, contractors, and property owners. By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2 Information We Collect
a. Anonymous Account Identifier
When you create an account or make a purchase, Apple generates an anonymous App Account Token — a random identifier that links your account to your subscription. This token contains no personal information such as your name or email address.
b. Usage Data
We store basic usage counters in your account record to manage your subscription and free trial allowance:

c. What We Do NOT Store
- Photos and images of damaged property
- LiDAR room scan data
- Dictated or typed scope-of-damage notes
- AI-generated damage reports or estimates
- Property addresses or location data
- Your name or email address
3 How We Use Your Information
The limited data we collect is used solely to:
- Manage your account and subscription status
- Track your usage against your free trial or paid plan allowance
- Process in-app purchases and upgrades via Apple StoreKit
- Apply promotional codes or free trial grants
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.
4 AI Processing
Pocket Estimate uses artificial intelligence to analyze your photos, room scans, and damage descriptions in order to generate cost exposure ranges and repair estimates.
Your submitted content — including images and text — is transmitted to our AI processing backend during your session to produce results. This content is not stored after your estimate is returned to the app. It is processed in memory and discarded.
5 Data Storage and Retention
The only data stored persistently is the anonymous account and usage record described in Section 2. This record is retained for as long as your account is active.
Photos, LiDAR scans, damage notes, and AI-generated estimates are never written to our database or file storage. They exist only in memory during active processing and are not retained after your session.
Exported reports (PDF or XLS) are generated on your device and saved locally or shared by you directly. We do not receive or store copies of exported reports.
6 Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Pocket Estimate:
- Anthropic — AI language model processing for damage analysis and estimate generation. Content sent for analysis is subject to Anthropic's data usage policies.
- Google Firebase — Cloud database (Firestore) for anonymous account and usage records, and Cloud Functions for backend processing.
- Apple (iOS / StoreKit) — App delivery, in-app purchase processing, and subscription management.
These providers may process your data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies independently.
7 Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
Your content may be shared only in the following circumstances:
- With Anthropic, solely to process your damage analysis request during your active session
- With Apple, for subscription and purchase processing via StoreKit
- Via email or file export when you choose to share a report directly from the app
8 Location Data
The app may use your ZIP code or general location to provide regionally accurate damage cost estimates. Precise GPS location tracking is not required to use the app.
If your device's camera captures GPS metadata in photos, that metadata may appear in exported reports saved to your device. You can disable location metadata in your iOS camera settings. We do not receive or store this metadata on our servers.
9 Your Rights
You may:
- Request deletion of your account and associated usage data at any time
- Stop using the app at any time, which ends further data collection
- Disable camera, microphone, or location permissions in iOS Settings

10 Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your data, including secure HTTPS transmission, Firebase security rules, and minimal data collection practices. Because we do not store photos, scan data, or assessment content, the risk surface for sensitive data exposure is significantly reduced.
However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted over the internet.
11 Children's Privacy
Pocket Estimate is intended for use by insurance professionals, contractors, and adult property owners. This app is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.
12 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. Updates will be posted within the app or on our website. Continued use of the app after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
